Creativity runs deep in my roots. My grandmother was a maker of all things—from clothes to cakes to handmade crafts sold at local fairs. My mom followed suit, becoming a self-taught graphic designer who carved her own path and inspired others along the way. Watching both of them, I found my own spark.
Over 15 years ago, I stepped into the world of graphic design, eventually trading the corporate grind for something more fulfilling—starting my own business, Shawna Lou Creative. Today, I still design, but I’ve also grown into a multi-passionate artist. Whether it's murals, custom illustrations, or branding, helping clients bring their vision to life through art is truly my superpower.
Shawna here!
After 10 years at Badger Liquor, where I designed menus and event signage for wine & liquor vendors, I found myself itching for more creativity. I was designing in my free time - having the time of my life!! I began seriously contemplating leaving my 'forever' job (which was amazing) to start my own business. (Scary!!)
Fast forward to college where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UW-Eau Claire. After finding my 'forever' job, I met my husband and we created a beautiful blended family of 6 + fur baby. We started our lives and currently live in beautiful Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
The biggest adventure you can take is living the life of your dreams.
I'll never forget the amazing support I had from family, friends and small business owners in the area. as a new business owner i embraced my art and trusted that if I followed my heart and passion, that I would be okay.
I attended a local meeting and joined the next day. It's been a whirlwind ever since! I have not only grown my business, I've become lifelong friends with women around the world and incredible leaders in our community. I'm forever grateful for the opportunities that have happened out of PDP.
I look forward to working with many more people across the country and leaving this world a little more beautiful than when I entered.
